Riker is a personal pet of Matt and Mimi’s. Late in 2023 Riker was surrendered to the clinic where Mimi works due to severe health issues. At the clinic he was treated for extensive malnutrition due to an improperly balanced raw diet. His calcium levels were so low he sustained a pelvic fracture. Riker serves as a cautionary tale on the dangers of feeding cats novel diets without veterinary oversight. Today this sweet boy is relaxing and living the good life with all his dietary needs met.
